When American and British forces invaded Iraq in March 2003, select teams of special forces and intelligence operatives began searching for the WMD their governments had promised were there. They quickly realized that no such weapons existed. Instead, they faced an insurgency that was almost impossible to understand, let alone reverse.
Facing defeat, the Coalition waged a hidden war within a war, fusing special forces, aircraft, and surveillance to take down the enemy faster than it could regenerate. In Task Force Black, Mark Urban offers a dramatic account of the intensity of the secret fight that turned the tide in Baghdad. Incisive, dramatic, and eye-opening, it illuminates the war in Iraq as few books have done before.

Books on special forces are usually great but this book shows how little the Special Forces in England helped in the war on terror. Very boring and waste of a read.
