Bettie Page 3-in-1

Whether she posed with a ball and chain or a teddy bear, Bettie Page defined the ’50s pinup girl. This special 3-in-1 set captures the essence of the sexy, sultry star whose every photograph was a knockout—and who has inspired artists the world over to capture her magic. In Bettie Page: Queen of Hearts, pinup artist and entertainment historian Jim Silke brings together photos and illustrations of Bettie in all stages of dress (and undress). In Bettie Page: Queen of the Nile, Silke takes Bettie to Egypt in a titillating time-travel adventure in comic form. And, just in case you need a break from all the breathy action, there’s also a deck of Bettie Page playing cards stacked and packed with classic images of Bettie at her finest.

Remembering a classic pin up gal

I haven't finished reading it but I have to say the art work is great. The old pics are even better, and to top it all off they give you a deck of playing cards.

Queen of the Nile
August 08, 2009

As a fan of tattoos, pin-up girls and fantasy, my eye was immediately drawn to the art in this trade paperback. Reprinting the three issue Dark Horse limited series, Queen of the Nile is a fun read for fans of Frank Cho, Adam Hughes, Jim Steranko, or Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. There are scenes throughout the trade in which Bettie and some of the women around her are topless, so be forewarned. Nonetheless, it was a fun diversion from "serious" superhero stories and horror books. Frank Cho fans can also rejoice; the Liberty Meadows creator wrote the introduction to this trade. Check out Bettie Page: Queen of the Nile, included with this 3-in-1 pack celebrating the pin-up queen.
